Lalon Shah Park 🌅

Lalon Shah Park is a park and recreation center built on the banks of the Padma River in Pathanpara, Rajshahi city . It is the only open recreation center in Rajshahi city . [ 1 ] This park was established in 2013 by the initiative of Rajshahi City Corporation . It is named after the mystic poet Lalon Shah .

History

In 2013, Lalon Shah Park was constructed on 55 acres of land on the banks of the Padma at Pathanpara in Ward No. 9 of Rajshahi City, under the initiative of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC). [ 2 ] [ 3 ] The construction work was completed at a cost of Tk 2.64 crore under the RCC's development project. It was inaugurated on September 10 of that year by the then State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Jahangir Kabir Nanak.

Infrastructure

This park can accommodate about 5-7 thousand people at a time. The interior of the park is made up of green zones, landscapes and various items for tourism. There is an open stage here. Where there are facilities for free cultural programs. In the atmosphere of the Padma River, 750 entertainment-loving people can easily sit together in this open theater and enjoy various programs.
